Introduction Period

Are you curious if survival is a sport for you? In September and March there will be introductory training sessions for (new) students in Utrecht. You can train once or twice a week for a month to learn the basics of survival running (for free and without any obligations)! The trainings are structured so that at the end of the introduction period you will be ready for a mini survival run on our track! If you miss a training, there are always opportunities to get some extra practice with one of the trainers.

There will also be drinks and other fun activities in September and March that will allow you to get to know each other and our members better!

You can sign up for this introductory period by sending an email to info@survivalutrecht.nl, or filling out this google forms.

Missed the Introduction Period?

No problem! Every first four training sessions of the month there is also a beginner trainer present and you can come and try out what it’s like with no obligation. If you want to, send an email to info@survivalutrecht.nl.

Practical information

Our warm-up always starts at 7:00 PM on our track, by the dugout next to the football field. This warm-up will be done together as an entire club, after which you will be guided by a beginner trainer to learn the basic techniques. We recommend wearing outdoor sports shoes that can get dirty. Shoes with a good grip (like running shoes or trail running shoes) are useful. Shoes with metal spikes are prohibited. Additionally, it is important to wear long sports pants and ankle-covering socks because of the abrasive ropes. Sports leggings/tights are the most comfortable to wear during climbing, even for men. Bringing a water bottle is also highly recommended, as the survival training sessions can be quite intense.
